Welcome ๐Ÿ‘‹

Below, you find six steps for a successful start in MarketHype!

Step 1: Invite users to your MarketHype

You can easily invite colleagues to your MarketHype via Settings (โš™๏ธ) โ†’ Users โ†’ Invite User. Your colleague will then receive an email with how the registration is made and needs to fill in the information required to create a user account.

Step 2: Update general details

Make sure your organization's general details are correct.

Step 3: Activate your email account

Your email account must be activated to send emails and start automated emails.

This is done by verifying your email domain and adding a sender profile.

We recommend adding DMARC to your domain in addition to the DNS records provided by MarketHype. Please readย this articleย or share it with the person helping you add the DNS records.

Step 4: Integration to Meta

Do you want to export contacts directly from MarketHype to your custom audiences in Meta? If so, you need to implement your Meta integration now.

Step 5: Data cleanup and Legitimate interest

All new organizations have an automatic data cleanup activated, ensuring that contacts you cannot communicate with will be removed from MarketHype. Learn more about the cleanup conditions here.

The data cleanup goes hand in hand with the validity time for Legitimate interest.

A legitimate interest consent is only valid for a limited time. How long you can consider having consent to communicate on a legitimate interest basis depends on many factors and is unique to your organization.ย Read more about consents here.

Step 6: Export lists from your previous system

Before you export lists from your previous system, we have some recommendations:

Contact lists

To maintain a healthy email domain reputation, we recommend only exporting active contacts, for example, recipients who have opened an email within the last 3 to 4 months.

If you have different communication groups, such as subscribers, partners, media, etc., export them to separate lists for easy communication in MarketHype.

Opt-out lists

To ensure that contacts who have opted out or indicated they do not wish to receive communications from you do not receive any when you start communicating from MarketHype, we strongly recommend that you export the following lists:

  • All email addresses that have bounced or marked an email as spam.

  • All email addresses that have opted out/unsubscribed.

That's a wrap! ๐ŸŽ‰
