The integration with Facebook supports you with the following features in MarketHype:
Export contacts to both new and existing Facebook custom audiences.
Create or update value-based custom audiences.
Preparations
To create the integration, you'll need the following:
That your organization has a Business Manager account.
Your Ad Account is added to your Business Manager.
Administration rights to the Ad Account inside your Business Manager.
Step 1: Log in to Facebook
Start by entering Settings → Connected accounts and click on Connect account.
A new window will open where you must log in to your Facebook account.
ℹ️ MarketHype will notice if you already have an active logged-in session to Facebook via the browser you are using. In that case, this step will be skipped.
Give MarketHype access
Once you are logged in, you will give MarketHype access to your Facebook ads for et.c. This access will be necessary for the different features, like Export to Facebook, to work properly.
Step 2: Connect the ad account
In the next step, you select what Ad accounts you want to connect and click on Connect account at the bottom.
All accounts you have access to will be visible here, and you can select and connect all of them at once.
Can't see the Ad Account you are looking for?
Then you probably don't have admin rights for this account. Please get in touch with your Business Manager admin and get a higher clearance.
Step 3: Accept Facebook's Terms of Service
To export contacts from MarketHype to your Facebook audience, you must also accept Facebook's Terms of Service for custom audiences.
If you haven't done this on Facebook before, the application will notify you by changing the status of your connection to Inactive, needs to accept Facebook's terms. To accept the terms, click on the relevant connection, and you will find links that redirect you to the terms.
Connection status
You will always be able to see the status of your connection from the Connected accounts overview.
🟢 Active - everything's fine, and you can continue with the Export to Facebook.
🔴 Inactive - action is needed. This status always comes with a light explanation from the overview. Click on the relevant connection for further instructions.
Re-connect your connection
This action might be necessary if the person who connected the accounts loses the admin rights for your ads account, for example, if someone quits.
To re-connect, you must do the following:
In Facebook, Give admin rights for the ads account to a new colleague.
In MarketHype, Go to Settings → Connected accounts, click on the relevant connection, and choose Re-connect.
