The weekly digest is an automated email sent every Monday morning that summarizes your organization's activity from the previous week. It covers four areas: sales, audience, top-performing segments, and emails. A green or red indicator shows how each number compares to the week before.
Everyone with access to your organization receives the weekly digest by default.
Want to add someone new to the list? Invite them as a user, and they'll automatically start receiving the digest – see Invite a new user to MarketHype.
Don't want it in your inbox? Go to your organization name in the top-right corner of the app, open Account → General settings, and turn off the Weekly digest toggle
Sales
Your sales for the past week, compared to the week before.
Orders: The total number of orders placed during the week. Pulled directly from your ticketing/booking system through the integration.
Revenue: The total revenue from all orders placed during the week, based on order values from your ticketing system.
Revenue from campaigns: Revenue from orders that can be attributed to a MarketHype send, whether a broadcast or an automation email/SMS. An order counts as attributed when the contact opened an email within 7 days before the order, or received an SMS within 24 hours before it. If more than one send matches, the most recent one gets the credit.
Contacts made an order: The number of unique contacts who placed at least one order during the week.
First-time customers: Contacts who placed their first order.
Returning customers: Contacts who placed an order during the week and have a previous order history (i.e., a returning customer).
Audience
How your audience has developed, compared to the week before.
Contacts in total: The total number of contacts in your contact database at the end of the week, compared against the previous week's snapshot.
Email addresses: The number of contacts in your database with a registered email address.
Phone numbers: The number of contacts in your database with a registered phone number.
Top performing segments
The segments with the highest total revenue over the past week.
Based on the segments you've created in MarketHype, ranked by total revenue for the week.
ℹ️ Note: If your contacts overlap across several segments, the numbers can look higher than expected, since the same contact may count toward more than one segment.
Emails
Your total engagement for the week, compared to the week before.
Opens: The total number of opens across emails delivered during the week.
Clicks: The total number of clicks across emails delivered during the week.
Generated revenue: Revenue attributed to emails sent during the week. A purchase counts if the contact opened the email within 7 days before buying.
Most opened email: The email with the most opens during the week.
⚖️ Revenue from campaigns (sales) vs. generated revenue (emails)
They sound alike but measure different things:
Generated revenue doesn't include SMS attribution.
Generated revenue only counts revenue from orders attributed to emails sent that same week. Revenue from campaigns counts all attributed revenue for orders placed that week, no matter when the attributed email or SMS went out.
So an email sent last week that was opened and followed by a purchase this week shows up in Revenue from campaigns, but not in Generated revenue.
