Segments can be found under the Audience tab in the top bar menu, as well as in the audience filter, where they have their own category. This makes them available for various parts of MarketHype. Event organizations can also analyze segments in their sales statistics.
The audience filter
Each segment you create will be available under the Segments category in the audience filter for easy communication and analysis.
Marketing activities
You can easily use your segments for targeted communication and advertising through the following marketing activities:
Email and SMS communication
From the email and SMS editor
The recipient filter for SMS and email dispatches is based on the audience filter, so as mentioned earlier, you can find your segments under their own filter category for easy communication.
Inside the segment
But you can also go straight from the segment to the SMS or email builder. That way, the segment will follow and be selected as recipients by default. The blue Message button inside each segment will take you to your preferred communication channel.
Export to Meta
The export function lets you export your whole audience or parts of it by using the audience filter, where your segments have their own filter category.
Automations
Segments are found in the additional filter in automations, making it possible for you to divide your automations between different segments. For example, if you want to have two separate welcome automations for your Regulars and First-time visitors.
Follow-up
You will have access to each segment's individual statistics from Audience โ Segments.
From the overview
The segment overview displays each segment and its segment card, which will give you the following statistic numbers:
Number of people - total number of contacts part of the segment.
Trend last 7 days - shows how many contacts the segment has increased or decreased in the last 7 days.
Percentage of the entire audience - the segment's proportion of the entire audience.
Inside the segment
Each segment includes the following tabs for analysis:
Demography - involving a trend graph on how the segment has increased or decreased in the last 30 days and the contact's overall demography.
Purchase behavior - shows sales figures on how much the segment has spent in total, on an individual level, and per purchase.
Map - displays a map of where your contacts live based on zip codes.
Sales statistics (for event organizations)
All your events, productions, and season tickets will have a tab for Segments, where you can analyze the audience and its segmentation, to better understand the purchase behavior for different target groups.
You will be able to toggle the audience segmentation based on Revenue and Ticket figures.
Note that one customer can be part of several segments or not even one. Therefore, the segments tied to the sales figures under the Sales tab don't always add up to 100%, and they can also add up to more than 100% altogether.
Segments will be part of an event, production, or season ticket the day after you create them. However, new segments will not be part of historical events, productions, and season tickets since we don't update those anymore.
