We have gathered seven tips on how to make your emails and automations more personal! ✨

1. Merge tags


Addressing your recipients by name can help you get their attention and increase your email open rate and general engagement.

When you are in a text block, a toolbar appears where you find Merge tags at the bottom line.

2. Videos


Share a personal video where a famous actor, sports profile, or artist greets the recipients.

Create a thumbnail (a snapshot from the video) and add a link URL to redirect the recipient to the relevant video. Read more about this here.

3. Spotify


Share a link to your Spotify list to get the customer in the right mood for the event, game, or visit to the amusement park.

You can either use a button or the Spotify logo as a social media icon. For example, if you want to share a specific Spotify list - use a button and include a link to that music list. Or, if you use social media icons in your footer, include the Spotify icon to send the recipient to your Spotify account.

The Spotify icon is available under the element for Social media icons. Simply add the element to your design and include a URL link.

4. Emojis


Use emojis customized for the selected segment you are communicating with. This can be used in the design or in the subject and preview text.

When you are in a text block, a toolbar appears where you find emojis to the right.

If you want to include emojis in the subject or preview text, use Control + Command + Space to open up the Emoji picker and add emojis this way. For Windows users, it is the Windows logo key + . (period).

5. Interests


Engage the customer in certain contexts. You can, for example, ask the customers to share their interpretations about an artist before the new tour is released.

You can include URL links for surveys in your email.

6. Competitions


Start a competition for a specific segment of yours. The price pot can include a gift card, merchandise, or a signed t-shirt. This will also be a good way for you to get to know your audience more.

You can, for example, add a button to the email and include the competition URL, redirecting the recipients to the competition.

7. Recommendations


Give recommendations and offers based on customers' order history. This will show them that you care and that they can trust you by staying relevant.

Use the recipient filter and choose to include those with a specific order history.
