With Lifestyle Insights, you can analyze your customers in even greater depth, helping you better understand them, discover new target groups, and communicate more precisely.
You’ll find the insights under Audience → Overview. Here, you get an overview of the different insight categories and how your customers are distributed across each parameter. To learn more about the parameters and how they’re added to a contact, click here.
You can also find the different insight categories in the filter under Contact attributes.
Using Lifestyle Insights in the filter allows you to apply them in features such as:
Create segments
Build strategically valuable target groups for your organization. For instance, you might want to grow your audience in smaller towns (filtering on living environment). You can also create segments to track how a specific group develops over time. For example, you might follow families with children to see how their size changes, what they purchase, and where they live (using the life stage filter).
Segments can also be used as a quick filter for communication and analysis under Audience Behavior.
Don’t forget that you can combine several parameters in the filter when creating your segment, including the standard contact attributes. For example, you might want to create a segment for families with children in the Oslo area (combining life stage with location).

Analyze behavior in Audience Behavior (for event customers)
Here, you can analyze buyers’ and visitors’ purchasing behavior and attendance at events. For example, you might explore which performances single households tend to attend, how far they travel, and how much they spend. Or you might compare when tickets are purchased by contacts living in cities versus rural areas, or whether purchasing power influences the types of events people attend.

Communicate in a targeted way with email and SMS
With deeper insight into your contacts, you can create highly tailored communication. For example, you might reach everyone with lower purchasing power in a nearby area with a last-minute offer (filtering on purchasing power and location). Or target families with young children and retirees with daytime activities that are otherwise difficult to fill (filtering on life stage).
Since Lifestyle Insights can also be combined with other parameters, you can refine your targeting even further. For instance, send an email or SMS to people who have visited you a certain number of times and have high purchasing power, offering them exclusive early access to premium events (filtering on purchasing power and order history). Or families who return every year for ski holidays might receive updates on this year’s new children’s activities.
Advertise on Meta
Just like with email and SMS, you can use Lifestyle Insights to create targeted audiences in Meta. Simply export the selected audience from MarketHype to Meta, then build ads for that group or find lookalikes.
View the Lifestyle Insight categories for individual contacts
You can view the categories life stage, living environment, type of home, purchasing power, and education level for individual contacts by going to Audience → Manage and opening their contact card.
