Lifestyle Insights is a premium add-on feature that enriches your contact records with additional demographic information. By adding the attributes life stage, purchasing power, education level, home type, and area type, you can segment your audience more precisely and better understand who your contacts are.

These insights give you the tools to communicate personally, understand your audience more clearly, and make confident, data-driven decisions.

How it works


As part of our data cleansing process, your contacts are verified against public registries in supported countries. When a reliable match is found, the contact can be augmented with details such as age and gender. You can read more about data cleansing and augmentation in this article.

When Lifestyle Insights is enabled on your account, each verified contact record is extended to include additional demographic categories. You can:

  • Segment and filter audiences based on the extra parameters.

  • View distributions across your database (e.g., how many contacts are in a particular life stage) in Audience overview.

  • See attributes for an individual on their contact card.

What the categories mean


  • Life stage

    Shows where your contacts are in life, such as families with school-age kids or adults 65+. Life stage often influences preferred activities, spending habits, and communication styles.

  • Home type

    Describes the type of housing your contacts live in, for example, single-family homes or apartments. Home type reflects lifestyle and living situation, which may shape mobility, family needs, or spending priorities.

  • Area type

    Indicates the type of area where your contacts live, such as a large city, town, or rural area. Living environments often influence behaviors, accessibility, and cultural interests.

  • Purchasing power

    An estimate of financial capacity, categorized from Low to High. This provides an indication of potential buying behavior and can guide offers, pricing strategies, and targeting.

  • Education level

    An estimated education level, from Basic to High. This gives insight into your audience's knowledge base and cultural interests, helping you adapt tone, content, and offerings.

How to access Lifestyle Insights
