Want to find out who opened a specific email, or re-sent an email to those who didn't open the first one? This and more can be done thanks to the Marketing activities category in MarketHype's filter.

The category can be found in the Include and Exclude sections.

The magic of the Marketing activities filter category

This filter category lets you filter your contacts by their interaction with a sent broadcast email or broadcast SMS. Available interaction activities are:

For emails

  • opened the email

  • opened the email but did not click a link

  • clicked on a link in the email

  • received the email

  • received but did not open the email

  • was sent the email

  • was sent but did not receive the email

  • unsubscribed in the email

  • marked the email as spam

For SMS

  • received the SMS

  • was sent the SMS

  • was sent, but the SMS bounced

  • unsubscribed

You will also be able to choose whether to go for one or several specific dispatches, or dispatches sent during specific time spans.

Examples of how and when to use this filter

Below are examples and ideas for when and how to use the filter.

Resend and email to those who did not open the first one

Maybe your first email didn't reach as many recipients as you wished. Try duplicating the email, twisting the subject and preview text, and resending it to previous recipients who didn't open the first one.

Talk to subscribers who have clicked on your links

Subscribers who click on links in your emails show great interest! Use the Marketing activities filter to follow up with those who clicked a specific link but didn't go all the way to buy the product you were advertising.

Do this by including those who clicked the link and, at the same time, excluding all those who have already bought the product/ticket/package, etc.

Find your inactive subscribers

To find your inactive subscribers, start by including contacts you emailed in the last X days, and exclude those who opened at least one of those emails.

That way, only people who didn't open any of the emails will match your filter.

Find those who have unsubscribed from your dispatches

Find out who unsubscribed to a specific email/SMS, or the total number of subscribers overall from all dispatches.
