Want to find out who opened a specific email, or maybe send out another email to those who didn't open the last one? This and more can be done thanks to the Marketing activities category in MarketHype's filter.

The category can be found in the Include and Exclude sections.

ℹ️ Doing this in Audience Manage, will give you a list of all contacts that match the filter. It also allows you to apply the Marketing filter and use the search field to determine if a specific contact matches the filter, instead of going through the whole list.

The magic of the Marketing activities filter category

This filter category allows you to filter among your contacts based on their interaction with a sent email or SMS. For example, you can find all contacts who have received a specific email but didn't open it, or those who have chosen to unsubscribe, etc.

Interaction activity

You will be able to choose between the following interaction activities:

For emails

  • opened the email

  • opened the email but did not click a link

  • clicked on a link in the email

  • received the email

  • received but did not open the email

  • was sent the email

  • was sent but did not receive the email

  • was sent, but the email bounced

  • unsubscribed in the email

  • marked the email as spam

For SMS

  • received the SMS

  • was sent the SMS

  • was sent, but the SMS bounced

  • unsubscribed

You will also be able to choose if you want to go for one or several specific dispatches, all of them, or dispatches sent during specific time spans.

Examples of how and when to use this filter

Below are some examples and ideas of how and when to use the filter.

Send out the same or similar email to those who did not open the first one

Maybe your first dispatch went out to your regulars and members with an exclusive offer. When it's time to communicate with the rest of your subscribers, you can choose to exclude the recipients of the first email, to avoid them being sent the same email twice.

Talk to subscribers who have clicked on your links

Subscribers who click on links in your emails show great interest! Use the Marketing activities filter to follow up on those who clicked on a specific link but did not go all the way and bought the product you were advertising. Why not help them out and send them a reminder or even a discount?

Do this by including those who clicked on the link, and at the same time, exclude all those who already bought the product.

Find those that have unsubscribed from your dispatches

Find out who unsubscribed to a specific email/SMS, or the total number of subscribers overall from all dispatches.

Find your sleeping subscribers

If you want to find out who your sleeping subscribers are - start by including contacts who were sent an email during the last X days and then exclude those who opened at least one of them.

That way, only people who didn't open any of the emails will match your filter.
