What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring more than just your password to sign in - such as a one-time code from an authenticator app or SMS.
It keeps not just your account safe, but all the customer and order data across your organization.
2FA is required for all MarketHype users. The first time you sign in, you'll be prompted to set it up.
Your 2FA methods
When you're prompted to set up 2FA, you choose one of these methods:
An authenticator app (Google Authenticator or similar)
The Auth0 Guardian app
SMS
Once your first verification is successful, you can continue working in MarketHype.
Using the Auth0 Guardian app
Download the Auth0 Guardian app to your mobile device. Scan the QR code with the app, then approve the request in the app.
Using an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or similar)
Download an authenticator app of your choice to your mobile device. Scan the QR code with the app, then enter the one-time code it generates.
Using SMS
Enter your phone number, and a verification code will be sent to you by text.
Change method
You can change your 2FA method whenever you need to - for example, if you get a new phone.
Click on your organization name in the top-right corner, go to Your profile → Account security, and click Change method, then follow the steps.
Check a user's 2FA status
In your organization settings, you can see whether each user has 2FA enabled. Click your organization name in the top-right corner and go to Organization Settings → Users.
ℹ️ Note: Since 2FA is set up at first sign-in, a user showing "Off" simply hasn't signed in to their account yet.
